This hat is hand-blocked from seagrass in NYC. The open weave is lightweight and less bulky than traditional straw hats. Plus it has an extra long tie to keep it in place. What’s in a name
Visaya is a region in the Philippines, as well as a dialect of Tagalog. My grandmother is Visaya, and if you saw the seagrass there, you’d wonder why any merperson would ask their father for legs and leave the sea life for our terrestrial one.
